The technique, called volumetric 3D printing, cures the entire resin structure while the structure is being printed. The technique uses light, and by shining light with varying intensities results in simultaneous polymerization.
Researchers used this to make 3D printed tablets with paracetamol, within 17 seconds.
They also found that by changing the composition of the resin it is possible to change the drug release rates.
