New research published in Gut Health shows how exercise impacts athritis, finding not only did exercise help to reduce pain decreasing cytokines and increasing the level of endocannabinoids which contribute to an anti-inflammatory response. The individuals in the exercise group also exhibited a shift in gut microbe composition.
The authors, from the University of Nottingham, link the endocannabinoid response with the increasing trend of using cannabinoids for their anti-inflammatory properties.
